Guitars - Acoustic Guitars
Acoustic guitars come in a lot of different varieties. The first difference is whether the guitar has electronics or not. In an Acoustic guitar, electronics come in the form of a preamp and pickup built into the body of the guitar, and a jack out to plug into a D.I., P.A. or Amplifier.
The way this pickup works is usually by being powered by a 9v battery, and a pickup inside the Body. The 9v battery preamp powers the pickup, usually with an EQ, that then has a standard ¼” output.
This allows a really easy live use, instead of needing to mic up the acoustic, which is great for street performers looking for a louder form of an acoustic sound.
